October 12 – Jordan River Parkway Trail
O. Roi Hardy Park – 1100 West 12600 South
Every race we have we end up with a few extra shirts, a few extra medals and a few extra race bibs. Instead of letting them collect dust in the basement, we’re having a “Recycle Run”
What that means is for just $15 (basically enough to cover insurance, permits and some basic treats), you get to race in fully supported 5K race along the Jordan River Parkway – the only catch is that your t-shirt, medal and bib number will be from some random race from the not-too-distant past. And our medals are always cool – none of those cheap medals you see at some other races.
We’ll provide electronic timing, publish results and have a true race – it’s just that you get some old stuff from our basement.
In keeping with the ‘Recycle Run” theme, and in light of recent events with hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean, we are asking that you bring a pair of your old running shoes that we can send to those who may have lost everything. We’ll also send a load of spare t-shirts.
We’re also celebrating a great season of events with this run. We’ll provide hot dogs, Dr Pepper and water. You bring the side dishes.
